Edward "Edd" Cutler
1944 - 2010 SHAFTSBURY, VT Edward J. "Edd" Cutler, 65, a resident of Route 67 West, Shaftsbury, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at his residence, following a long illness.
Born in Bennington Dec. 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Joseph & Jennie Bushee Cutler. Edd received his education in the schools of Bennington, Bolster, Maine, and Hoosick Falls, N.Y., before graduating from North Bennington High School.
He married the former Marlene Kilburn on Aug. 9, 1969, in Manchester. After serving in the Air Force from 1962-1966, Edd was employed at the A.J. Dewey Sawmill, Wickes Lumber, Haynes Ford and Gary Gardner Auto Sales. For many years prior to his retirement, Edd owned Edd Cutler Picnic Tables and Woodcraft on Water Street in North Bennington. In addition to his woodworking Edd enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered by all as a very jolly and happy fellow.
He leaves his wife, Marlene Cutler of Shaftsbury; A son, Bryce Cutler (Kerry Dillmann) of Wynantskill, N.Y.; A daughter, Nicole (Timothy) Greene of North Bennington; three grandchildren, Kodiac Cutler (Kaleigh Merrow), Garrett Greene and Santana Greene; three step-grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Jamie Greene; five sisters, Jean Pierce of Bennington, Joan Browe of East Wallingford, Irene Purdy of Massachusetts, Barbara Rosenberg of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and Shirley Whittemore of South Paris, Maine; three brothers, Carl "Tommy" Jones (Florence) of Pownal, Ferd Jones (Irene) of Bennington, and Lester Jones (Jan) of South Weymouth, Mass.
Edd was predeceased by a sister, Linda Stratton.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services celebrating the life of Edward J. Cutler will be held from the family plot in the Shaftsbury Village Cemetery on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 11:30 a.m.
