Don Donworth-6 Skofield (Charles-5, Thomas-4, Richard-3 Skofield, Thomas-2, Thomas-1) was born September 19,1877 in Hodgdon, Maine; married Louise Carolyn Peterson, daughter of Olaf Peterson and Katrina Hyttsten,
on 14 June 1905 in New Sweden, Maine. He died 1 July 1950 in Bangor, Maine, and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
Don Donworth Skofield served as a musician in Battery B, 1st Battalion of Maine Heavy Artillery.
Volunters in the Spanish-American War. He enrolled 9 July 1898; discharged 31 March 1899 at muster
out of the battalion at Savannah, Georgia.
He was a member of Queen City Grange; Rising Virtue Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons; Bangor
Consul and Mount Moriah Chapter; member of William Mckinley Camp, United Spanish War Veterans.
Late in 1915, he and his family moved to Isle of Pines, Cuba, where he bought a ranch but later gave
that up and returned to Bangor.
Louise Carolyn Peterson was born 17 October 1878 in Maine; died 13 April 1928 in Bangor,
Maine, and was buried with her husband.

1. Eugene Oliver7 Skofield was born 11 September 1906; married Barbara Ellen Pierce.

2. Oscar Ellis Skofield was born 26 May 1908; married Myrna Evelyn Foss. He died Nov. 26,1954

3. Katherine Louise Skofield was born 14 February 1910 in Brewer, Maine. She graduated
from Bangor (Maine) High School, Class of 1927; the Helen Norfleet School in New York City and Eastern Maine General Hospital Nursing School in 1945. In 1967, she
lived at 300 West End Avenue, New York City and died Dec. 7,2009 in Florida

4. Donworth Skofield was born 25 April 1913 in Bangor, Maine; died 17 January 1940 in the U.S. Military Hospital in Cristobal, Panama Canal Zone, while in the U.S. Army Air
Corps. He was cremated and his ashes buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, Maine.
