NAMPA — Funeral services for Lt. Col. Clifford J. Agenbroad, 44, an U.S. Air Force officer, stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base at Spokane, Wash., who was killed Friday in an airplane crash on Mt. Spokane, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel by the Rev. George Trobough, pastor of the South Side Boulevard Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
Born Feb. 7, 1922, at Nampa, he graduated from Nampa High School and attended Northwest Nazarene College at Nampa for two years. He entered the Army Air Corps at Gowen Field during World War II. During the war, he served as a bomber pilot in the Atlantic Theater. Following the war, he served in the Idaho Air National Guard in Boise, and was called back to active service during the Korean conflict.
He had remained on active duty since that time. He held a command pilot rating in the U.S. Air Force and was second in command of air refueling squadron at Fairchild.
He is survived by three sons, Chris, Scott and Brad Agenbroad, all of Bellevue, Wash.; one daughter, Dana Agenbroad, also of Bellevue; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Agenbroad of Nampa; three brothers, Ernest of Grand View, Carl of Boise and Leland of Eugene, Ore.; and a sister, Mrs. Doris McConnell of Salem, Ore.
The family suggests contributions to the Idaho Youth Ranch at Rupert, care of the Southside Boulevard Methodist Church, or flowers may be sent.
