The oldest daughter of 7 children. Attended school in Brimfield, MA and Monson HS which she graduated from.She was know as the one to sing the National Atheam at all the sports events.
She was employed by Milton Bradlee toys,also Monson State Hospital as an aid, and as a singer in the '50 in Boston. She joined the Navy hoping to become a nurse, but while serving in Florida as a Air Traffic controler, met Norbert Bengtson, a Marine Co.pilot also from MA.
The'50 and '60's where ever changing. We moved a lot. Ft.Wayne,In., Belleville, Ill., Chicago Hieghts, Ill., Baltimore, MD, Jacksonville, NC.(she always remembered this is where we lived the day Kennedy got shot. We had not turned on a radio or tv, and went downtown. It was diserted. She said late it was the strangest feeling ever).
Then Monson, MA. and in 21 Dec. 1965 she took the 4 of us kids to Thailand, to join Capt. Norbert Bengtson now with Air America. Keeping house Thai style was the best and worst. Homesickness, phones with terrible connections, ordering items and waiting...Gradually she embrassed the locals. Hired domestic help, bought food at the farmers market, traveled though SE Asia.
Murielle returned with the children to Wilbraham, MA, in 1969. 1972 we moved to Winter Park, FL.while her divorce became final. 1973, Monson, MA, 1975-1979 Springfield, MA.
She had longed to get away from allergy triggering pollin in MA.and when an opportunity arrived,she moved to the LA, CA area with family. She became a personal manager for celebraties and studio managers. The glow faded and she transplanted to Seattle, WA. where she seamed vary happy.
Country, city, mountains, lakes, ocean all together.
