James T. Sheehan, 79, of 711 E. Oak St., died at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Haven Nursing Home, after an illness of several years.
A resident of Springfield his entire life, Mr. Sheehan was the son of Thomas and Bridget Tobin. His wife Grace died in November of 1959. Mr. Sheehan was a member of Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Holy Name Society, K of C Council No. 364, Bishop Griffin Assembly and Fourth Degree of Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are two sons, Stuart T. of Pearisburg, VA., and James R. of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Devlin, Mrs. Mary Fortune, Mrs. Margaret Factor, all of Springfield.
Services at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Irvin R. Will officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
