NEWPORT NEWS - Joseph Fleming, 66, passed away April 23, 2012. He was born in Newport News and was in the 1965 class of Huntington High School. He served in the U.S. Army and did a tour in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Argolia Edmundson Fleming.
He leaves to cherish his memory six brothers, Samuel (Clara), Eugene (Jean), George (Chun Yea), Steven (Lee), Vernon (Vannessa), and Eddie (Judy); three sisters, Margie Parker, Elnora Scott (Robert) and Ella McNair; two aunts, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Emmanuel Chapel Church of Christ (Holiness) USA, 200 Hampton Roads Avenue, Hampton, Va. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
