Henry Bates Grubb, s/o Peter and Mary (Burd) Grubb, married (first) Ann Carson, with whom he had one son, and (second) Harriet Amelia Buckley, with who he had 7 children. He was a Private. Henry carried on the Grubb family iron manufacturing business at Cornwall, PA.

Grubb, Henry Bates: famous iron-master of Mt. Hope and Hopewell Forge; generous contributor to St. James'; built Mt. Hope mansion.
