Body of Hunter Found
Great Falls--A flash of red clothing in the snow led searchers to the body of 31-year-old hunter, Fred E. Kent, of Great Falls. First reports indicated death was from natural causes.
Deputy Lewis Clark of Neihart led the six-man search group into the Yogo Peak area of Judith Basin county, about 14 miles from the top of King's Hill. The searchers left in three jeeps after hunting companions of Kent reported that they had not seen him since 10 a.m. Sunday. They figured that, as he was familiar with the country, also known as Prospect Ridge area, he might have walked to a ranch house. When Kent failed to show up Monday, the search began.
The body was found in new fallen snow where the victim had unsuccessfully tried to start a fire. His rifle was against a tree. Kent, who worked for a sheet metal firm, is survived by the widow.
