William Burgess, 65, of 1632 Second Street, New Brighton, passed away at his home Saturday, August 7, 1965'
Mr. Burgess was born in England, a WWI veteran of the Canadian Army and a retired employee of the Townsend Company. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Brighton and a member of the 25 year club of the Townsend Company.
Surviving are his wife Edith; two sons, Stanley Burgess, Mt. Union, Pa. and Donald, Beaver Falls, Pa.; 3 grandsons; two brothers, Norman Burgess of Webster, Mass. and Thomas Burgess of Miami, Florida and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Robinson and Mrs. Elsie Reed, both of New Bedford, Mass.
Friends will be received in the Loyal B. Young Funeral Home, New Brighton until Tuesday noon when the body will be moved to the Trinity Lutheran Church to lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of the funeral service.
Interment at Sylvania Hills Cemetery.
