Civilian casualty of WWII, Alexander was a Leading Fireman, National Fire Service.
He died at Horton Emergency Hospital, Epsom, as the result of illness contracted while on duty during air raids at Dover, Kent.
He was 37 and left a widow, Ivy Mary Bocutt of 30 Longfield Road, Dover, Kent.

His brother, aged 38,Marine Alfred Arthur Bocutt Royal Marines was lost on HMS "Hood" 24th May 1941 and is commemorated on the PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL-Panel 58, Column 3.
They were sons of Alfred Arthur Bocutt of 30 Longfield Road, Dover, Kent and of the late Jessie of Alfred Arthur Bocutt of 30 Longfield Road, Dover, Kent.
