Casualty of the Great War, George served as a Private in the 1st Bn., The King's Shropshire Light Infantry, Service No:10296. He was one of the brothers on whom J. M. Barrie based the Darling family in 'Peter Pan'. He was the eldest son of the late Arthur Llewelyn Davies (Barrister) and Sylvia Jocelyn Llewelyn Davies, nee Du Maurier. They are interred, together with son Michael Llewelyn Davies, at St John-at-Hampstead Churchyard, Hampstead,Greater London,England in the Churchyard extension. N.B.The family name was simply Davies, not Llewelyn Davies.
