Billie Rice Fryman 86, died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was born in Harrison County, KY., June 25, 1927, to the late Rice and Gertrude Bell Anderson Fryman. Mr. Fryman had worked at Harrison Motor as Service Manager, McLoney's Farm Store as Manager and retired from Southern States as Manager. He was a member and elder of the Cynthiana Christian Church where he served on many church boards through the years, served on the Airport Board, was an avid radio control model airplane enthusiast and a Kentucky Colonel. He was an honorably discharged Navy Veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Casablanca. His wife June Carolyn Sosby Fryman preceded him in death. Survivors include one brother, J. Leslie Fryman, Cynthiana, KY., niece and nephew, Jennifer (John) Lemmings, Cynthiana, KY., and Stephen Leslie (Tammy) Fryman, Noblesville, Ind., two great nephews, Spencer and Ben Lemmings. Several cousins also survive. Services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, October, 23, 2013, at the Cynthiana Christian Church, by Dr. Larry W. Bishop and Dr. Tim Teater, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home and after 10 AM Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Cynthiana Christian Church.
