Mr. Lasyone, 72, of Provencal, died Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Alexandria.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Provencal. Mr. Lasyone was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was retired custodian from Columbus School District in Columbus, Ind., and was owner and operator of a lawn service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lasyone and Lucy Graves Lasyone.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Clark Lasyone of Provencal; one step-daughter, Jean Ham of Provencal; one sister, Helen Martin of Lafayette; one brother, Clyde Lasyone of Shreveport; one aunt, Vernel Cox of Natchitoches; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Todd Lasyone, Kenny Lasyone, Ricky Vickers, Shannon Vickers, Jim Cash and Ronnie Lasyone.
Honorary pallbearers will be A.V. Clark Jr., Melvin Clark, Jeremy Ham and Doug Linde.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11 from 5 p.m. until service time on Wednesday.
