Birth: 1846
Death: Jul. 2, 1916

Civil War Union Soldier. He was mustered in as a recruit Private in Company D, 1st New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on January 4, 1864 (New Jersey Adjutant General records list his name as "Timothy H. Berry"). He served through the Battles of the Spring 1864 Overland Campaign in Virginia , and was part of the formation of the 1st New Jersey Veteran Battalion when the non-re-enlisting recruits of the 1st new Jersey Infantry were mustered out in June 1864. Asigned to Company A of the Battalion, he participated in the April 1865 final Union assaults on Confederate positions at Petersburg, Virginia, and saw the war though to it's conclusion. He was honorably mustered out on June 29, 1865.
