Artillery Rgt. April 2, 1865 brevet 1st lt. U. S. Army for capture of Petersburg, Va. April 9, 1865 brevet capt., U. S. Army for Appomattox, Va. campaign; May 10, 1865 1st lt. April 15, 1868 married Elizabeth Kinnie; Jan. 2, 1881 capt. Feb. 10, 1898 maj., 4th U. S. Artillery Rgt. 1900 at Ft. DuPont, New Castle County, Del. Jan. 25, 1901 ltcol., artillery; Feb. 2,
1901 transferred to Artillery Corps; Sept. 23, 1901 col. April 1, 1902 retired; 1904 briggen on the retired list; April 3, 1910 died at Brooklyn, N. Y. May 29, 1910 his widow applied for a pension (application #942803/certificate #710644) while living in New York
