RACINE Ralph F. "Junior" Neigler, Jr., 86, of Racine, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at his residence.

Born Oct. 30, 1922, in Racine, he was the son of the late Ralph and Jessie Roush Neigler.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army as a Technician 4th Grade Battery B of the 752nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion.

On April 10, 1948, he married Edna L. Jeffers in Bartlett. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2001.

He was a lineman/supervisor for 35 years with American Electric Power. He was a member Racine American Legion Post #602 and a fan of the Racine Southern Tornadoes.

He is survived by his children: Kenneth (Ivaunna) Neigler, Gentry, Ark., Bruce Neigler, Racine, and Peggy (Todd) Cummins, Racine; grandchildren: Jason Neigler, Matthew Neigler, Jennifer (Monte) Riffle, Kati (Chad) Hubbard, Maggie Cummins, Curtis Neigler and Jordan Neigler; great Grandchildren: Andrew Riffle, Audrey Riffle and Chase Roush, two step great grandchildren, Gabe Riffle and Jacob Riffle and one sister in law, Wanda Neigler.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers: Forrest C. Neigler, Carroll Neigler and Arthur Neigler; sisters: Dorothy Yates, Jan Sprecher, and Drusilla House; an sisters in law, Sarah Neigler and Gertrude Neigler.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2009, at the Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine with Pastor Ryan Eaton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Racine American Legion Post #602 and the Tuppers Plains VFW Post #9053.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Racine American Legion Post #602 and mailed to P.O. Box 747, Syracuse, Ohio 45779.
