3rd child and son of John Denson Jr and Alice (Hollowell) Denson. He was born near Pagan Creek, Nansemond County VA (Note: Nansemond County no longer exists, it is now called Isle of Wight County), near the present day city of Norfolk VA. He married Mary Whitehead on 15 August 1747 near Pagan Creek. There were at least eleven children born to this union whose names are documented as follows: Hulda, Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Ann, Benjamin, Jesse, Jethro, Molly, John, and Isabella Denson. The exact location of his burial is unknown. He was probably buried on his property.
