Birth: Jul. 20, 1825
Hardeman County
Tennessee, USA
Death: Mar. 1, 1910, USA

Susan Lee was born to Willis Lee and Ruth (Lindsey) Lee. She married William Washington Easterwood 31 Dec 1844 in Whitesville, Hardeman county, Tennessee. To this union were born 8 children: Amelia, Mary, Willis, Frances, Emily, Nancy, Edward and William.

The Easterwood family moved to Arkansas sometime after Susan's father died in 1846. Susan's mother resided with them in 1860 US Census. William died in 1861 in Clark Township, Johnson county, Tennessee serving as a town militiaman during the Civil War. Susan then married about 1865-66 to Hugh Rufus Fletcher and to this union was born one son, Lens Rufus.

About 1874 Hugh, Susan and her family moved from their home in Arkansas across the plains to Owyhee County, Idaho, then to Wallowa, Oregon where she is listed in the 1880 US Census and in 1900 in Athena, Oregon. There are family stories that a Prarie Schooner was the form of transportation used by the family since it resembled a ship sailing across the plains.
