Agnes T. Boyles, of Smyrna, died on Monday, March 17, 2003 at her home. She was 83.

She was born in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Stephen and Ida Urban. She moved to Delaware in her youth.

Mrs. Boyles was a member of St. Polycarp Parish, Smyrna and a life member and past president of the ladies auxiliary of Citizens Hose Co., Smyrna. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Boyles, in 1976; and by a grandson, Greg Melville, in 1988.

She is survived by a son, William Boyles, of Ocean View; two daughters, Nancy Melville, of Woodstown, N.J.; and Carol Timmons of Smyrna; a brother, Francis Urbaniak, of Elkton, Md.; two sisters, Rose Cole, of Clayton; and Mary Green, of Dover; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.


Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon on Friday, March 21 at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South St., Smyrna. Friends may call at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
