She was a dependable Sunday School teacher and was an avid Bridge player. ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ and also when her mother held regular Bunco parties that consisted mostly of family members, she attended those many times.

DOROTHY EVELYN HUTCHINS

Dorothy Evelyn Hutchins, 88 of Carthage, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO.
She was born on April 5, 1920 in Jasper, Missouri and was the daughter of Harold Clark and Lucille Fern Kirby Campbell.
Dorothy was a housewife and she was a member of the First Baptist church of Carthage. She was a dependable Sunday School teacher and was an avid Bridge player.
Dorothy married William Oren Hutchins on September 24, 1938 in Carthage and were blessed with 68 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2007.
Survivors include two sons; Gary Hutchins and wife, Diane of Carthage; Steven Hutchins of Raleigh, N.C.;
three daughters: Janice Egelston and husband Martin and Donna Bragg and husband Ron, all of Carthage, and Evelyn Wells and husband Greg of Joplin; one brother George Campbell of Little Rock, AR.; 19 grand children and 37 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Oren Hutchins, two brothers; Don and Roy Campbell and one sister: Edith Stehm.
Funeral was in the care of the Ulmer Funeral Home. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 13, 2008 at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel.
