WAYNESBURG -- Services for Charles G. Guinn, 83, of Lexington, formerly of Waynesburg, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Brad King. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
He died Monday at Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington.
Born May 27, 1916, in Pulaski County, he was a son of the late Charles S. and Myrtle Vanover Guinn. He was a salesman for Ed Buis Furniture and Appliances for 16 years and a farmer. He was a former Sunday School director for Double Springs Baptist Church and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He was a past master of Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 328.
Survivors include his wife, Magel Day Guinn; two sons, Roy Guinn of Stanford and Charles Guinn Jr. of Lexington; two daughters, Linda
Caudill of Campbellsville and Sue Gooch of Richmond; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
