Obituary, The Morning Sun, December, 1973:

Harold L. Evans, 60, 116 North Highland, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, at his home.

Mr. Evans was born September 26, 1913, at Columbus, and spent most of his life in Pittsburg. He was a retired construction worker.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Thelma Scroggins of Girard, Mrs. Pauline Davis of Franklin, Mrs. Susan Ports of 118 North Highland, and Mrs. Dorothy Davidson of Lakeland, Florida; two brothers, W. R. [sic] Evans, rural Pittsburg, and Joe Evans of Lexington, Massachusetts; three step-daughters, Mrs. Shirley Bitner of Chicopee, Mrs. Betty Caputo of Arma, and Mrs. Barbara Anderson, Texas; three step-sons, James Stanley of Shreveport, Texas, Jack Stanley of Pittsburg, and Kenneth Stanley of Arma. A son, Michael Evans, died in 1968.

Arrangements will be announced by the Brenner Mortuary.
