Alonzo Hemstreat served as a Private in Company F of the 105th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the American Civil War. He was killed on July 2, 1863, the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg.
A pocket book, small bible, and 50 cents were found on this soldier's body.
