REVOLUTIONARY WAR Military Service: 1766 Captain of the Culpeper Militia Military Service: 1781 Furnished Stalled Beef to the Militia
Please note that this and some other grave markers in this cemetery are NOT original markers - but were placed maybe even 100 years later - dates therefore on these markers are NOT totally reliable. The birth date of Lewis D Yancey seems very questionable.
Family lore has it that the family came from Wales - but proof is lacking. Lewis may have been the son of a Charles Yancey - but again solid proof is lacking.
May GOD Bless you and all which do and/or the ones which may come here to pay tribute and view too ! Yes, as you so have blessed us and all these UNITED STATES of North America ! Thank you for your being ! :: -
