Ida Mae Chapman was born February 4, 1888 in Botetourt County Va., Married William Issac Jones Gardner Oct 31 1912 at Belmont Baptist Parsanage Roanoke Va.
She grew up in Botetourt County, Bedford, Virginia. She attended school thru the 3rd grade. Self taught herself to read and write, along with her children as they attended school. She read the Bible daily.
The picture shown , is of them dated their wedding day. They lived in Roanoke Va and Hillsville Va. They had a country and a city family, Grandmother refered to them.
