George Melvin Randall, long time Livingston resident, died at the Livingston Memorial Hospital early Saturday morning, November 6, 1971, after a long illness.
He was born October 2, 1888 to the late Jesse Randall and Mary Pointer Randall at Somerset, Kentucky, where he spent his early life and received his education. He moved to Livingston in 1909 and married Mary Hopper here in July of that same year. He was employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad at Livingston in 1911 and was promoted to Engineer in 1916 here. He retired in May of 1959 and has made his home here since. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston.
Survivors besides his wife Mary of Livingston include one son, James Randall from Toledo, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Audrey (Vern) Jacobs from Bremingon, Washington; three half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Lacy, from Hollywood, California; Mrs. Martha Cooper from Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Macie Wilson from Somerset, Kentucky; one nephew Robert Randall from Somerset, Kentucky; two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Franzen Chapel Monday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens. Reverend Richard Sutterlin of the First Baptist Church of Livingston will officiate.
