John was my husband's Great-Grandfather.
He was the oldest of five children born to Georg HOPPERDIETZEL and Barbara SCHALLER, both parents born in Germany. He worked in Athens, WI, as a mink breeder and beekeeper.
On July 5th, 1904 he was married to Leila KEHL in Athens, WI.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fletcher and family, Jean, Harriet, Richard and Rae Ellen, 624 South Minnesota avenue, attended the funeral Monday of John Hopperdietzel, 65, who died at his home at Athens Friday morning. Services were held at Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Richard Maiotky officiating. Mr. Hopperdietzel, who was Mrs. Fletcher's father, is survived by his widow and seven children.
