Margaret was my husband's Grandmother.

She was the seventh of twelve children born to Charles Karl Von Karner and Theresia Grace (Zinniel) Karner.

She was married to Peter Francis Konopacky on 29 Oct 1917, in Ashland, Ashland Co., WI.

Their children together were:

Jerome Peter, Audrey Marie, Robert Paul, Karl A., Peter Paul, David Francis, James Joseph and John Edward Konopacky.

Mrs. Margaret M. Konopacky, 69, 332 S. Fremont St., died at St. Michael's Hospital today at 6:20 a.m. She had been a patient there since Jan. 21.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and burial will be made in the spring in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

The body is at the Moore and Hoppa Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. on Sunday. At 7 o'clock Monday evening, the Auxiliary to General McGlachlin, Post No. 568, Veterans of Foreign Wars, of which she was a member, will conduct their ritual, followed by the recitation of the rosary.

At 8 o'clock Monday evening, a general rosary is scheduled, with members of St. Ann's Altar Society of St. Joseph's Church and St. Cecelia's Court No. 185, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, participating. Mrs. Konopacky was a member of St. Ann's Society, and her daughter, Mrs. E.R. Skibba, is a member of the Foresters.

Mrs. Konopacky was born March 18, 1892, in Stevens Point, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Karner. She attended St. Joseph's School and Stevens Point High School, and was married on Oct. 29, 1917, to Peter F. Konopacky. Mr. Konopacky, who was a retired Soo Line Railroad conductor, died Dec. 22, 1959.

Mrs. Konopacky was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. (Audrey) Skibba; seven sons, Jerome, Robert, Karl, Peter, David, James, and John; 26 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Corcoran, and Mrs. Madge Hawkins and two brothers, Frank Karner and Peter Karner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren and by seven brothers and sisters.
