Writer and author of copious poems. Member of Fair Street Reformed Church, and Kingston Board of Health. Wrote lenghty poem about the 20th New York State Militia and read it at the 20th monument dedication in 1888, on the Gettysburg Battlefield.
Director, vice president and president, State of New York National Bank of Kingston. Member of Authors Club and life member of New York Shakespeare Society.
