George Foster, Jr., 61, passed on peacefully to be with his Lord on March 30, 2006, surrounded by his wife, children and friends at his home. George was born August 27, 1944 in Bates County, Missouri to George and Eunice Leora (Frey) Foster. He grew up in the Appleton City area graduating from Appleton City High School. Most of his adult life was spent in Lee' Summit except for the past 1½ years when he moved to Pleasant Hill, Missouri. George and Patricia Tyler were united in marriage March 29, 1969, raising three sons and a daughter. Mr. Foster retired from General Mills after 31½ years of employment as a millwright. He attended Discovery Church in Grain Valley, Missouri, was a member of the Lee's Summit Baseball Association, the Lee's Summit Baseball Assciation Booster Club and the Grain Miller's Union. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and attending his children and grandchildrens' sports activities. He also liked playing cards with friends and relatives. George was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elizabeth Foster. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; four children, Rodney and Michelle Henderson of Springfield, Missouri, Lisa and Jim Robinson of Lee's Summit, Missouri Phil and Angela Foster of Blue Springs, Missouri, Mike and Carol Foster of Gardner, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, one brother, Jake and Georgia Foster of Montrose, Missouri; four sisters, Margaret and A.C. Dines of Appleton City, Missouri, Joan and Elmer Pullen of Clinton, Missouri, Stella Jones of Clinton, Missouri, and Dora and Maynard Cole of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; many nieces, nephews and dog Brandy. A huge "Thank You" to Crossroads Hospice. They are truly God's helpers.
