Mrs. Vogrin was born in Kansas City, MO, and was a lifelong area resident. Through the years, she volunteered in the St. Peter's School Library, acted as a Cub Scout den mother, was a member of the St. Peter's Altar Society, sang in the St. Peter's choir, and was an avid lifelong bridge player. Mrs. Vogrin worked for the Department of Agriculture and the Health Care Financing Administration. She was a former officer of Kansas NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees).
Mrs. Vogrin was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Vogrin on March 17, 2000; her sister, Evelyn Little; and by her daughter-in-law, Margaret Hays Vogrin on February 11, 2000. She leaves four sons, Joseph G. Vogrin, Edward A. Vogrin and his wife, Jeri Ann, all of Kansas City, KS, William J. Vogrin Jr. and his wife, Carolyn L. Vogrin , Colorado Springs, CO, and James R. Vogrin and his wife, Dene M. Vogrin, Kansas City, KS; sister, Ruth Smith, Independence, MO; and seven grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her family and church and took special joy in her grandchildren.
