Arden Brice Bingham was born July 29, 1930 to George Wayne and Elizabeth Freda Elsie (Knoblauch) Bingham at Tulare, S.D. He was raised and educated in Craig, Colo., where he met his wife, Lanay Lawton. They were married July 2, 1949, when the couple eloped to Rifle, Colo. They made their home in Craig for two years. In 1951, they moved to the oil fields of Wyoming. He worked for several years for Stafford Well Service and Wyoming Well Service in Linch. The last 13 years he worked for Inexco Oil Co. in the Highlight field south of Gillette. Since his retirement in the fall of 1986, he has made his home in Glenrock and spent the winters in Salome, Ariz.
He raised mules, which he rode in various parades including Glenrock's Deer Creek Days, Salt Creek Days, the Wyoming State Fair and the Wyoming Centennial Wagon Train.
He is survived by his wife Lanay of Glenrock; sons Arden Bingham of Wright and Leo Bingham of Gillette; daughters Mrs. Patrick (Glenda) Sullivan of Midwest and Audrey Waller of Gillette; brother Vince Bingham of Craig; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1979; brother George Bingham in 1985; his mother and step-mother, both in 1989; and his step-father in 1994.
