Pearl Elizabeth Elam, 71, of 601 N. Walnut St., Pana, died at 7:58 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 1977 in Pana Community Hospital.
Mrs. Elam was born Jan. 17, 1906, the daughter of the late John Adams Barding and Anna Lockwood Barding. She was married to Alvin Elam on Nov. 22, 1928 in Alton Children's Home, Alton, Ill. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mary Ann) Puckett of Pana and Mrs. Richard (Mildred "Millie') Meyerholz of Ramsey, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
A brother, Lewis Barding, M.D., four sisters, Susan Howell, Martha Burt, Ida Hoover and Ina ‘Mildred" Hughes, and two infant brothers, Earl and Luther, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 6 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pana, with burial in Linwood cemetery, Pana
