G. O. Feakins Sr.

Glenn O. Feakins Sr., 77, of 101 Jeffery Pl., Amherst, was pronounced dead at Amherst Hospital yesterday at 7 p.m. Ill a long time, he was taken there after being stricken at home.
An Amherst resident the past six years, Mr. Feakins was born in Nova, March 29, 1893. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Elyria Chapter, and American Legion. Vermilion Post. He was also a member of Eagles Lodge of Amherst, and was a retired employee of American Standard.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth to whom he was married 48 years; three sons, Glenn, Buena Park, Calif., Herbert, Vermilion, and Darrell, at home.
Also four daughters, Mrs. Daivd (Mildred) Moore, June Pike, both of South Amherst, and Mrs. William (Roberta) Cooper and Mrs. Gerald (Juanita) Currier, both of Elyria; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, a brother, Charles, Oberlin.
Friends may call at the Bittner-DeCarlo Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 pm and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Services will be held Saturday with the time to be announced.

Feakins Service

Services for Glenn O. Feakins Sr., 77, will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Bittner DeCarlo Funeral Home. The Rev. Elwyn Owens, pastor of the East Oberlin Community Church, will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
Mr. Feakins, who lived at 101 Jeffery Pl., Amherst, died Wednesday after a long illness.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
