Paul John Blatto was born January 24, 1958 in Buffalo, New York to Rocco and Genevieve Blatto. He attended St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School and Turner High School in Buffalo, New York.
In 1976 he enlisted in the USMC and proudly served for eight years as an aircraft mechanic. While serving the USMC he was stationed in the Pacific, Hawaii, Dallas NAS as well as El Toro Marine Base. There he met his wife, Louise, and made residence in Orange County.
In 1989 Paul went full time as an Apostolic Pentecostal minister, traveling to many churches across America. His last five years have been served as pastor of Apostolic Tabernacle in Lamont. The church congregation will greatly miss him.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Blatto; two sons, Rocky Blatto and Jonathan Blatto, both of Bakersfield, CA; mother, Genevieve Blatto of Fairport, New York; brother, Christopher Blatto of Denver, Colorado; sister, Loretta Church of Rochester, New York; brother and wife, Peter and Elena Blatto, niece Anna and nephew Nicholas; brother and wife, Gregory and Norma Blatto, nephew Daniel; and sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Gary Blatto-Valle, nieces, Simone and Ava.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rocco John Blatto, in 1981.
Viewing will be Monday, May 11, from 6-8 p.m., and funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12, at 11:00 a.m. Both events will be at Apostolic Tabernacle, 8901 Weedpatch Highway, Lamont, CA.
Paul has chosen to be buried at the Veteran's National Cemetery upon opening this year; therefore, all military honors will be given at the funeral service.
