A portrait of Tarlton hangs in the library at Barnwell, South Carolina. He is buried in an old Baptist graveyard where a church once stood on land given by himself. His tombstone is still standing and a newer marker by the Daughters of the American Revolution. His original tombstone reads ''Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.'' (Revelation 14:13) Tarlton Brown is my gr,gr,gr,gr,grandfather. Lewis Barnwell Brown son of Lewis Matthews Brown is my gr,gr,grandfather. Atticus Brown, son of Lewis Barnwell Brown is my great grandfather. Betty Brown, daughter of Atticus Brown, is my grandmother

Tarlton Brown is layed to rest in a very rural area, with several family members, there is no street address. On Boiling Springs road go two tenths of a mile west from the intersection of Lyndhurst Road (this intersection being near Boiling Springs School House) Tarlton gave one acre of land in 1826 for a Baptist Meeting House which apperently already stood on the land where the present cememtery is located.

A special big Thank you to my cousin Milton for the bio information, pictures and location of the cemetery!
