Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. Mrs. Gainey died Tuesday, May 16. Born in Hartsville, she was a daughter of the late C.C. and Sophia Inez Dixon Robbins. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and was retired as the cafeteria manager at Plainview Elementary School. Surviving are her husband, Wallace Lee Gainey of Hartsville; two sons, Wallace "Skeet" (Rosemary) Gainey of Columbia and Mitchell (Jeanne) Gainey of Hartsville; three daughters and son-in law Cynthia Kelley and Dick Tyner of Hartsville; Sandra Morrison of Hartsville, Candee Gainey of Gastonia, N.C.; five brothers, Cliff Robbins, Jack Robbins, Marion Robbins, James Edward Robbins, and Archie Robbins, all of Hartsville; four sisters, Inez Burch, Sara Alexander, Peggy Evans, Linda Price, all of Hartsville; five grandchildren, Vincent Lee Gainey, Matthew Gainey, Andy Gainey, Mary Gainey and Lee Gainey. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Robbins and a sister, Edna Freeman.
