Statesboro - Mrs. V. F. Agan, 82, died Tuesday at a Statesboro nursing home after a short illness. She was a native of Dawson but had lived in Statesboro 27 years. She was a member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church where she had served as organist and music director for several years. She was a former teacher of the Marion Agan Sunday School class and was the last surviving member of the original board of directors of Bethany Home for Women in Vidalia. She had served on the Bethany Home Board for many years.bbShe was a member of the Statesboro Music Club and a former member of the Bulloch County Board of Education.
Surviving are her husband, V. F. Agan of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. W. R. Smith of Statesboro; three brothers, Henry and George Jennings, both of Dawson, and Floyd Jennings of Bethesda, Md.; and three grandchildren.
Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
