He was killed in a training accident Friday when his AV-8B Harrier jump-jet crashed in North Carolina, according to Marine officials.

The Marine pilot who died Feb. 16 when his AV-8B Harrier crashed will be buried Tuesday at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Capt. Ronald C. Walkerwicz, 30, of VMA Squadron-231, will be buried with full honors in the national shrine. The Ellenville, N.Y. native was killed when his jet crashed right after taking off at Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station, about 200 yards from the base's perimeter;
Memorial services- were held Wednesday at Annunciatio Catholic Church in Havelock.
Walkerwicz was nearing nine years in the Corps and served more than four .years at Cherry Point. He helped rescue Air Force Capt. Scott O'Grady in June from Bosnia by flying close-air rescue escort into enemy airspace.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident.
