Ben H Adams, 81, longtime Park County resident, died Tuesday afternoon in his home 613 East Geyser. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Franzen Chapel followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery. The Reverend John Pfleinderer of Holbrook United Methodist Church will officiate.
The body will lie in state until the time of the service when the casket will be closed and remain closed.
He was born November 24, 1889 in Kentucky. He came to Park County with his parents, the late Sim and Martha Adams in 1894. He received his education in Park County Schools and had made his home here since.
Mr. Adams had been employed for several years by the Northern Pacific Railroad and later on various Park County ranches until his retirement in 1965.
He married Helen M Proffitt July 7, 1914, in Billings.
Surviving are his wife of Livingston; two sons, Merle and David of Livingston; five daughters, Mrs. Jack Madding of Monroe, Washington; Mrs. Charles Martin of Oceanside, California; Mrs. Judy McCarty of Pony; Mrs. Joy Henderson and Mrs. Cliff Searl, both of Livingston; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three sons, one daughter, five brothers and four sisters.
