Thomas W. Burton of Woodstock [neighborhood of Portland, Oregon], died on 29 Jan 1901 at 12 o'clock at night at Good Samaritan Hospital, Portland, Oregon, of injuries suffered in a 15-foot fall, on 28 Jan 1901, from a railway trestle under construction.

He was 47. He was born 20 Apr 1853 [1880 U.S. Federal Census shows a Thomas Burton, carpenter, in Portland, Oregon, born in Canada in about 1853.] Funeral Services were on 1 Feb 1901 at 2 P.M. at Taylor Street M.D. Church. Burial was on 1 Feb 1901 in Lone Fir Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.

Thomas was a carpenter, working for Wakefield & Jacobson. He was a member of Americus Lodge, No. 1, K. of P. [Knights of Pythias], and Prosperity Camp, No. 306, Woodmen of the World. Thomas was married and his wife was by his bedside.
