Paul served in Japan during the occupation after WWII. He was a Marine, and was signed up by his older brother, Michael (Junior).
Paul was briefly married (,5 yrs) to a lady named Carole in or around 1958, but divorced without having children and never married again. I do not know anything more about her, and would welcome any information on this. I have several nice wedding photos I could share with her family.
Paul was a plumber by trade, and loved to keep tropical fish.
He moved back in with his mother, Pauline, at the Dunlap Ave. home where he grew up. In the summers, he and his mother spent a lot of time at their Kelley's Island house. He had spent many happy summers there as a child.
Later, Pauline sold the home in Cleveland, and she and Paul moved to 3927 Brainard Rd, in Orange Village. They were now just a few doors down from his brother Tom and his family.
Paul died early from heart failure and a ruptured esophagus, following a night of heavy drinking (coronary sclerotic heart disease with remote myocardial infarct). A contributing factor was that he at first refused to go in the ambulance, stating the after some (unknown) event in Japan, he never wanted to see the inside of another hospital.
