Susan A. Langlois March 8, 1959 - April 5, 2013 Woodstock - Susan A. Langlois, 54, of Butts Rd. passed away Friday. She was born March 8, 1959 in Norwich a daughter of the late Emile Langlois and Anita (Milette) Langlois Viera. Susan had lived in Brooklyn and Norwich for many years moving to Woodstock a year ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She leaves two daughters Tara Kelloway of Cleveland Heights, OH. and Amy Langlois of Dayville. two grandchildren Nylah Golob and Bria Griggs. Two brothers Albert Langlois of Plainfield and David Viera of Canterbury. Also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her life partner Robert Gilman, two brothers Arthur "Smokey" Langlois , James Viera, and stepfather Richard Viera. A memorial gathering will be held at VFW Post 5446, Winsor Ave. Plainfield on Thursday April 18, 2013 from 5-8 P.M.. A potluck supper will be served. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Assoc. P.O. Box 502, Milford, CT. 06460. Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, Plainfield is assisting the family.

A 54-year-old woman was killed Friday morning when the car she was driving struck a concrete pillar head-on.
State police said Susan Langlois, of Woodstock, was driving southbound on Tracy Road when her vehicle exited the road – crossing the northbound lane – and struck an I-395 concrete bridge abutment pillar. The crash, which happened around 8 a.m., caused extensive damage to the front end of the vehicle, state police said.
Langlois was pronounced dead on scene, state police said.
