Bud was born to parents Lawrence and Maude Mabel (Wale) Palmerton. He was the brother of Earl Jay, Lela Viola "Dottie" and Lawrence P Palmerton.
He is a veteran of World War II serving in the 480th Air Service Squadron as a AP Propellar Mechanic. He was station in the Southern Philipines, Luzon; New Guenia in which he was awarded 4 Bronze Stars. He was honorably discharged in October 1945.
On January 18, 1947, he married Doris Niemeyer in Toledo, Lucas, Ohio. They had two daughters, Linda Lee and Constance Lynn. He worked for Kneisley Electric Company as their shop foreman his whole working career.
Bud was a handyman and there wasn't anything he wasn't willing to try to fix. He repaired cars, televisions, radios, appliances as a hobby. You name it and he could fix it. He was a very kind and gentle man and would do anythng for anybody.
His favorite past time was to take his boat out on Lake Erie and fish for perch. He also bowled for 20 plus years in the Lutheran Bowling League and golfed. He loved to watch all sports but he loved his Cleveland Indians baseball team. But most of all, he loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
