In 1921 Percy Murray enrolled in the Dairy School at oregon State University. During his senior year he inquired about the best place to get into a creamery in Oregon, and was referred to the Klamath Falls plant, which by then had fallen on bad times. April 7, 1924 Percy Murray, along with the Kent Brothers took over operation of the creamery at 1320 Main Street. In 1926 Klamath Falls Creamery purchased the Fort Klamath Plant, and in 1935 constructed the new creamery building and started processing and bottling milk. The following year, wholesale routes were started to rural areas. Murray delivered to Tulelake for seven years, to Bly eighteen years, and to Chiloquin for seventeen years.
In May 1972 Percy and his son Rod bought the stock held by Glenn Kent's sons. Under Percy Murray's guidance, the creamery had continued to grow and flourish. At this time through the influence of Percy Murray many of the college-bound young men of the area found jobs with the creamery.
Rod Murray became president of the firm following his fahter's death in 1976. Rod's wife Marie is vice-president and their son Tom, a fourth generation creamery man is assistant manager.
