Obituary: William Brammer, Ninety yrs. old, Civil War veteran, native and widely known resident of Lawrence county, O., died at 4:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ada Hawthorn, at Kenova. Mr. Brammer had made his home at Proctorville until last May when he moved to his daughter's home. He served three years in the United army army and was captured and confined three months in a confederate prison camp. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Union Chapel, near Proctorville. Ironton Tribune, 9 February 1931, Monday, Page 7.
