~~*~~Richard is the son of Bishop Edward Cridge and his wife. He was sent to school in England so when he was 14 he was living in the county of Kent in the Parish of Cranbrook getting an education.
~~In the 1881 census Richard is 25 and living at home he is listed as a civil engineer/surveyor.
*~*He marrys Abigail Irene Polky on 18 Sep 1883.
Abigail and other family members are buried at Ross Bay Cemetery and in the Old Burying Ground but I have not found where Richard is buried.
