LUCY A. BURBANK MALLORY
Born in Chicago, Illinois. Records give varying dates for her year of birth. According to the records, she could have been born in December anytime between 1856 - 1859. See NOTE below.
Daughter of Eliza Marshall and Tracy W. Burbank.
Wife of Frank Mallory.
Sister of Lillie Burbank Goss, Annie M. Burbank, Jessie B. Burbank Kimmey, Lottie Burbank Malum, Abram L. Burbank, and Grant Burbank.
Lucy married Frank Mallory (born 18 November 1843 in Cleveland, Ohio) on 16 December 1878 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1885, she and Frank were living in Midvale, Garfield County, Nebraska. By 1900, they were living in Ord, Valley County, Nebraska. He was a general merchant. He served in the U.S. Civil War (The War Between the States) as a musician in the Illinois Infantry.
Lucy had no children according to the 1900 census.
They were still married in 1905 when her husband Frank was admitted to the veterans home in Danville, Illinois. They
reportedly later divorced according to her husband's veterans' home record.
Husband reported as Widowed in 1920. Frank died 8 April 1932 in the veterans home in Danville, Illinois, and buried in the Danville National Cemetery.
It's unknown at this time where Lucy was finally laid to rest, although it's possible she could be near her family in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago. Further research is needed. Additional information will be added as it is found.
