ʚϊɞ Daughter of Jefferson Thomas Sides (son of Elijah Sides) and Sarah Frances Morgan, both of whom are buried at Smith Cem, Carbon Hill, Walker Co., AL.
Thelma is my mother. What infinite emotion is held within those simple words! A 'steel magnolia' in inner strength (as many southern women are), yet unfailing in her kindness and gentleness.
My mother had already raised five children when I was born. Her eyes tell you she lived deeply and lovingly but endured many storms in this life. She kept the faith throughout her days and shaped my life more than any other person. I love her and miss her terribly, and would give anything for her hugs.
Thank you to each sweet person who comes by with kindness for my Mom. Would she be surprised! If you still miss your Mom, you know how I feel about her. If you still have your Mom, run hug her if you can. God bless you, Friends...
"Your Mother is always with you.
She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore,
she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well, she's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day.
She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow...she is Christmas morning.
Your Mother lives inside your laughter, and she's crystallized in every teardrop.
A mother shows every emotion ........... happiness, sadness, fear, love, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow...and all the while, hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life.
She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space...not even death."
~Thank you to Wayne Osborne for leaving this beautiful poem for my mother~
ʚϊɞ THANK YOU ʚϊɞ to the caring folks who stop by to visit my mom whom I love so very, very deeply and leave a flower or a thought for her. May God bless you always...
"Those we have loved
Though now beyond our view
Have given form and substance to our being...
And, they live on unfailingly in our hearts
And our imagination
Until the sense of their presence
Becomes greater than their absence."
"The deeper that sorrow carves into your Being, the more joy you can contain. Is not your cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven? And is not the lute that soothes your spirit the very wood that was hollowed by knives?"
- Khalil Gibran
