WILLIAM YOUNG FUNERAL TODAY
Paris Crossing — The funeral for William Young, 74-year-old retired Paris Crossing farmer, who died Saturday, was scheduled for 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Coffee Creek Christian church with burial at the church cemetery.
Mr. Young who died after a 2-week illness at his home west of Paris Crossing, was the father of Miss Shirley Young and Richard Young, both employees of The Evening Republican.
Mr. Young was born in the Jennings county community southwest of North Vernon and lived there all his life.
Surviving with the daughter and son are his wife, the former Miss Clarice Buckles; two other sons, James Young of Paris Crossing route 1, and Harold Young, at home; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Frances Philips of Indianapolis; two brothers, James Young of Old Paris, and Edward Young, at home; a niece, Mrs. Nathalee Brockman, who lived with the Youngs and three grandsons.
Another son, William Young, Jr., died in Italy while serving with the Army in the second world war.
